Most exfoliation techniques use a slightly abrasive material to rub the skin, scraping away any dead cells on the skin’s surface, increasing circulation, removing toxins and giving skin a healthy glow.
All types of skin (dry, normal & oily) benefit from the removal of dead skin cells. One way to exfoliate the skin is by using salt. A salt scrub, also known as a salt rub or salt glow, is a circulatory stimulant that removes dead surface cells and dirt, leaving skin soft and gleaming.
Many people are not aware of how important it is to take care of our skin - the largest organ in the body! Poor skin health can actually lead to internal physical conditions and problems. When you do not take proper care of your skin you can begin to have poor circulation, tension caused by discomfort, varicose veins, spider veins, stretch marks, blocked pores and more.
It is recommended to exfoliate or scrub the body once about every two weeks or so.
